New Year’s Eve Party, is a party like no other in the center of Chamonix.
There are celebrations in all the bars and restaurants throughout the evening of 31st December. Then, shortly before midnight, crowds of merry revelers head to the center of town for the big countdown. It is not an organised event, more a long-held tradition to gather in Place Balmat or Place du Mont Blanc. On the stroke of midnight the champagne corks and fireworks start flying in celebration!
If you prefer to see the New Year in in style and the comfort of a particular restaurant, bar or club, some of them are ticket only, so be you’d be advised to inquire in advance.
