ESF is a well respected ski school in Chamonix, with experienced instructors. 
Best for : Scheduled Group Ski/Board Lessons, Good Value Private Lessons for Beginners and Low Intermediates, Joining a Vallee Blanche guided group without having to go private.

Chamonix Experience

Chamonix Experience are specialists in ski instruction, off-piste skiing and mountaineering, and offer climbing, avalanche & crevasse safety programs. Founded in 2001 by renown Everest climber Russell Brice the company is now run by Sebastien Rougegre qualified UIAGM mountain guide, ENSA ski instructor, and member of the French mountain rescue team for 8 years. Like Russell, Sebastien has led several major expeditions to the heights of the Himalayas, Patagonia, Peru, Nepal, & Jordan in addition to many local European peaks. Together office staff and team of highly trained English speaking mountain guides they will take care of every detail of your day to ensure you have a fantastically fun, memorable and safe experience in the mountains.

Best for : Expert private ski instruction, off-piste & back country guiding for serious skiers, boarders & mountaineers, safety instructional courses, very personalized experience.

Eco Riders

Eco Riders is small new company with a sound ethos of zero emmissions, and a pledge to improve the local environment.

Best for: Group lessons. Off-piste and Freeride ski and boarding, Free Dynastar Test skis, Ecologically conscious travellers.

Group tariffs:

3 day group (Mon - Wed) : EUR 135 pp

5 day group (Mon - Fri) : EUR 210 pp

British Snowshoe Tours

A small independent specialist snowshoeing company owned and managed by qualified International Mountain Leader Phil Jarratt who personally leads most of the trips. They offer a range of tours from half day taster walks and torchlit dinner walks, to week long tours. Taking only small groups, the walks are informative and fun with the assurance of the highest levels of safety, professionalism & care.

Best for : Keen Hikers, a change from skiing / boarding, spectacular scenery, peace and tranquilty, getting away from the crowds!
