Chamonix Areas
Chamonix Sud
Chamonix Sud is a mini-centre of its own close to the town centre, housing a number of different apartment residences in addition to shops, restaurants/cafes/take-away, supermarket, bars all housed around a central square. It is located next to the Aiguille du Midi lift, and is a few minutes walk to the town centre/ main shopping street. It has it’s own bus station and also a 10 pin bowling, snooker and mini golf centre. There is also a hotel called Aiglons Best Western where you can book usage of their health spa and pool. There is a train station stop at Chamonix Sud.
Chamonix Centre
Centre of town means anywhere along the main shopping street called Rue du Dr Paccard that runs from one side of town to the other, this location offers a huge selection of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, tourist information, cinema, ski bus stops etc right on the door step. A main bus stop is no more than a 5 minutes walk from any apartment located here, and the train station is located close to this area.
Savoy
Located at the foot of the Savoy Nursery slope leading to the Brevent lift, so very handy for accessing that ski area and La Flegere which is linked. Only a few minutes walk to the main ski bus stop to access other ski areas of Le Tour and Les Grands Montets. Only a few minutes walk to town centre with its huge selection of amenities.
Les Gaillands
Quiet countryside location close to a lake. 15-20 minutes walk to town centre or 5 min in the car. There is a bar/pizza place within a couple of minutes walk, and a good value country-style restaurant within 5 min walk. There are a couple of good supermarkets within 5 minute car journey.
